Henry Tikkanen

Henry Tikkanen (b. 1971) is the chef de cuisine and one of the restaurateurs of the Restaurant Gösta. He has won the prestigious Chef of the Year Award in Finland in the year 2001, when he was working at the G.W. Sundmans in Helsinki. In 2003, he represented Finland in the Bocuse d’Or Competition in France. Tikkanen has previously worked also in the Restaurant Havis, Hotel Kämp (est 1887 and Villa Störsvik (in Siuntio).

Tikkanen and his co-restaurateurs Pekka Terävä and Pasi Heinonen aim at making the Restaurant Gösta the best museum restaurant in Europe. As the basis of Gösta restaurant’s flavors is its chefs de cuisine selecting local quality ingredients according to season. The delicacies will also feature influences from outside our own country. Restaurant Gösta is famous for its pure tastes stemming from Finnish nature.
