The French master pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet is known as a sensitive, highly intuitive magician of tone variety. Bavouzet rose to world fame as a vivid interpreter of Joseph Haydn’s music, and he is also known for widely praised recordings of French art music. In his Mänttä recital, Bavouzet will interpret pieces by Haydn and Ravel that will enable him to convey his musical sense of humor and the superb delicacy of his touch on the keys.
Tip: Mänttä Music Festival offers a rare opportunity to know more about Bavouzet's musical thinking - he has agreed to teach young talented pianists at Koskela School Center on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 10:00.
