Liisa Smolander (b. 2001) is currently studying at the Sibelius Academy with Antti Hotti and Tuija Hakkila. 2013-2020 she was a student of the Youth Piano Academy Finland, where she participated in numerous masterclasses with professors such as Matti Raekallio, Claudio Martínez-Mehner, Aquiles Delle Vigne and Robert Levin. Smolander has been rewarded in the Leevi Madetoja Piano Competition, the Steinway Piano Festival Competition and the Helsinki Lied Competition with Lotta Pylkäs.

Smolander has performed in numerous cities in Finland and Europe as a solo recitalist, chamber musician and as an orchestra soloist. She has performed at the Oulunsalo soi! Festival, Korsholm Music Festival, Mänttä Music Festival, Joensuu Music Festival and Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival. Smolander performed as a musician and a cast member of the ”Elämän koulu” -production of the Finnish National Theatre.
