Tuija Hakkila is without a doubt the best known Finnish fortepiano player. She will perform music from Beethoven, Schubert, and Montgéroult. Hakkila´s instrument, a Joseph Böhm-fortepiano, dates back to 1828 — the year Schubert died. The instrument was built in a workshop which was situated on the same street as the composer’s last address.
