Tähe-Lee Liiv (born 2003 in Estonia) is currently studying piano in Tallinn Music Highschool with Marrit Gerretz-Traksmann and in Sibelius Academy’s Young Musicians International Class with Hui-Ying Tawastsjerna.
Tähe-Lee has been successful in many competitions – she got III prize and special prize for contemporary piece in international competition “Young Musician 2017” in Tartu, I prize in “International Piano Competition in San Dona di Piave 2018”, I prize and special prize for M. Saar music interpretation in “I Mart Saar Competition for Estonian Pianists 2018”, II prize in “Città di Chioggia 2018”, II prize in “Virtuosi per musica 2018” in Usti Nad Labem, I prize in “Kolme kooli konkurss 2019” and special price for virtuosity in “I Nordic Junior Piano Competition 2019” in Sweden and I prize in “2019 Concerto Competition ‘Theodor Leschetizky’ for Gifted Young Pianists” in New York, USA.
Tähe-Lee has performed as a soloist with Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Pärnu Town Orchestra, Chioggia Symphony Orchestra, Alion Baltic Festival Orchestra, Virumaa Chamber Orchestra ec. 2019 she had her New York debute in Merkin Hall, playing Chopin Concerto No 2 with New York Camerata Orchestra. She is also an active chamber musician.
She has participated since 2017 regularly in Konstantin Bogino masterclasses “Alto Perfezionamento” in Bergamo and masterclasses by Arbo Valdmaa, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Dmitri Bashkirov, Ivari Ilja etc.
Tähe-Lee has also studied visual art since she was 5 years old in the art school “Sally Studio” in Tallinn and she also loves to draw.
