The evening recitals feature internationally renowned piano stars. This year they include Kirill Gerstein, Imogen Cooper, Benjamin Grosvenor, Ingrid Fliter and Elisabeth Brauß.
The daytime concerts will showcase the best of the best in Finnish piano music and emerging talents of the younger generation. Performers include Juho Pohjonen, Risto-Matti Marin, Mariam Batsashvili and talents from the Youth Piano Academy.
"At the Mänttä Music Festival we want to bring together the world's most interesting and talented pianists - strong but different personalities whose playing styles and repertoire choices create a unique ensemble. The result is a festival that celebrates the diversity and richness of piano music. The natural and intimate setting of Mänttä makes the experience even more magical," says Niklas Pokki, founder and artistic director of the Mänttä Music Festival.
Tickets for the 2025 Mänttä Music Festival will go on sale from Thursday 27 February 2025 in the Serlachius online shop.
Free concerts around Mänttä are an important part of the festival programme
In addition to the paid concerts, the Mänttä Music Festival has always included a high-quality music programme that is free to the public.
The festival buzz kicks off with short piano concerts at Serlachius and the Festival Head Start concert at the historical Mänttä Club where students of the Youth Piano Academy Finland perform.
During the festival, the churches of Mänttä and Vilppula will host short organ recitals open to the public.
The Mänttä Music Festival also organises concerts in kindergartens, service centres and activity centres in the Mänttä-Vilppula area. The Common Good for All concert series brings the experience of music to the listeners, and the focus is on inclusion and enjoying music together.
