Young energy and piano masters – Mänttä Music Festival 2026

Young energy and piano masters – Mänttä Music Festival 2026

The Mänttä Music Festival will be held from July 28 to August 1, 2026, in Serlachius. This year, youthful energy takes a major role: the lineup features several up-and-coming young pianists from around the world. Alongside them, the festival also brings established masters at the peak of their careers to Mänttä.

Audience favorites Mariam Batsashvili and Boris Giltburg return to Mänttä. Making their festival debuts are, among others, the vaunted British pianist Steven Osborne, the original Lucas Debargue, and the poetic virtuoso Aimi Kobayashi. At just 18 years old, Alexandra Dovgan has already established her status on the international stage, and Tianyao Lyu, the 17-year-old sensation from last fall’s Chopin Competition, is currently one of the most talked-about names in the piano world. The lineup also includes a Finnish artist Samuel Eriksson, winner of the 2025 Tampere Piano Competition, whose development the Mänttä audience has been able to follow for several years now.

“This summer’s program embodies the gist of the Mänttä Music Festival — courage, maturity, and fresh perspectives — exceptionally well. The artists’ program selections are also particularly delectable,” says Niklas Pokki, artistic director of the Mänttä Music Festival.

Ticke sale begins 2.3.2026

The ticket sale for the Mänttä Music Festival begin on Monday, March 2nd, 2026, at the Serlachius online store at https://shop.serlachius.fi/. Up-to-date information is also available on the festival’s website at mantanmusiikkijuhlat.fi and on its Facebook page.

A limited number of festival passes covering all concerts are available for purchase again this year.

This year, the festival program will be redesigned to be more concise, taking the form of a single program booklet that lists all concerts. This solution places greater emphasis on the live concert display while also acting in an economically and ecologically responsible way.
