“The maturity and sophistication of her thoughtful interpretations would be the pride of any pianist twice her age.” – Gramophone

Elisabeth Brauß has risen in a short time to the absolute elite of pianists under 30. Her international career took off with her victory at the prestigious Kissinger Klavierolymp in 2016. Another milestone was her acceptance into the BBC's two-year New Generation Artist programme in 2018. In 2024, she is expected to make a number of major debuts, including appearances as soloist with the Royal Liverpool Orchestra and the London Chamber Orchestra, as well as tours of Germany and Australia.

Finnish audiences may be familiar with Elisabeth Brauß from the highly acclaimed 2023 recording of the Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Nicholas Collon. Brauß performs Grazyna Bacewicz's Concerto for Two Pianos with pianist Peter Jablonski.

In Mänttä, she will perform Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Pieces op 12 and Robert Schumann's beloved Carnival.

Artistic Director of the Mänttä Music Festival Niklas Pokki introduces the concert in the Kivijärvi Hall at 14:30 (in Finnish). The concert ends approximately at 16:10.
